David J. Kete


David is a trial lawyer who focuses on both civil litigation and criminal defense. As lead trial counsel, he has tried over 100 cases to a verdict, including over 50 jury trials. This experience gives him a trial-focused approach that allows him to deliver positive results for clients at any stage of the case.

Prior to joining Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar, David was a trial lawyer at Mintz Levin in Boston. He has experience in cases involving breach of contract, securities fraud, civil RICO, wire fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, Chapter 93A, and products liability, among other areas. He also has significant experience representing criminal defendants.

Earlier in his career, David was a law clerk for Judge Paul Barbadoro of the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire and, before that, for Justice Frank Gaziano of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. David started his career as a criminal prosecutor in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.


  • Represented a gaming company in a $3 billion RICO case in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The court dismissed with prejudice all three RICO claims and all related state-law claims.*
